The Joseph Abboud Manufacturing Corporation (JAMCo) is the largest tailored clothing factory in the United States.

In New Bedford, MA, 400 skilled craftspeople keep a proud tradition of American tailoring alive. The factory’s story began in 1987, when GFT USA—the U.S. arm of Italy’s renowned menswear group—revitalized the facility with cutting-edge technology and expert training. What emerged was a center of excellence, producing garments of exceptional quality for designers across the GFT family, including Joseph Abboud.

By 1995, the company expanded its footprint, securing New Bedford as the permanent home of Joseph Abboud’s tailored clothing. Today, under Tailored Brands’ proud ownership, the factory continues to honor the methods that built the tailoring tradition, while refining them for the modern wearer.

Every stitch, every canvas, every hidden layer is a reflection of generations of craftsmanship and a deep respect for traditional tailoring, reimagined for today’s world.

“There’s a pride that comes with wearing a bespoke, custom suit that is made in America and an even deeper pride from knowing it’s made in the heart of New England. Every aspect of our factory’s production process reflects the detailed care and quality our artisans uphold to ensure each tailored garment exceeds our customers’ expectations.”
